Ever since I was young, I have been the "tech-savvy" member of my family. Whenever my parents, grandparents, or sister were confused on how to use technology, I would jump at the chance to look into the problem and fix it. Solving all of these issues provided me with a sense of accomplishment and when I learned about UX, I knew it was the perfect career path for me. All the knowledge I have gained at Northwest Missouri State University has prepared me for the UX world, and I am ready to enter it.
My passion for UX sparked after completing a case study on Chef'd for an entire semester in a Web Publishing course. Since taking that class, I wanted to learn and practice UX outside of the classroom. So, I took on personal projects of my own, received a mentor from the UX field, went to networking events, and re-designed my portfolio based on everything I learned.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to church events, dancing, and watching Friends, New Girl, or The Office on Netflix.
